Cash Drawers

To use Cash Drawers you will need to turn it on in the General Settings in your workspace. Scroll down to POS settings and turn on ‘Require cash drawer’

In the ‘Current Drawers’ tab you will be able to see what the current cash drawers are open and the Device ID that the drawers are open on. you will also be able to see the name of the drawers (this is what the employee sets when they open a drawer through the Glue Admin app), the status, the open date and time, which employee opened the drawer and the expected amount in the drawer to start with.

In the ‘Drawers History’ you will be able to see the date the cash drawer was closed, the device ID it was opened and closed on, the drawer name, the time the drawer was closed, who closed the drawer and then the balance (this will determine if you had extra money in the drawer than expected or if you came out the same or even less than what you expected there to be in the drawers.

In the ‘Unresolved Drawers’ tab you will be able to see which drawers were left open. Just like the other tabs you will be able to see the Device ID, the name that was set for the cash drawer, the current status, the open date and time, which employee opened the drawer and the balance of the cash drawer

To start a cash drawer you will need to have the Glue Admin app downloaded on a tablet.

Once you have the app downloaded and you have logged into your account you will need to select the front desk position.

Once you have selected ‘Front Desk’ press the menu icon (3 lines in the top left hand corner) and then select ‘Cash Drawer’

Next you need to click on ‘Start Drawer’. You will then be asked to enter a cash name and starting amount of money in the drawer.

You can then add money and remove money from the cash drawer by pressing on ‘Cash In/Out’, add the value and then select either ‘Cash Out’ for the likes of refunds or select ‘Cash In’ for purchases. You will be able to see your current drawer’s expected total.

The below image is when you press on ‘Cash In/Out’ and once you have entered in the value

When you end your drawer it will ask you how much was in the cash drawer and then if you scroll down you can see if you gained profit or had a loss.
